A one-part, self levelling coating that doesn’t wash off, Wheel Guard isn’t thick or plastic-looking, is easy to apply and gives good coverage (60ml will cover 1m² (double coat)). Surfaces to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned as dirt or residue will remain visible under the coating – full instructions are included in the kit. Finally, wipe down with de-natured alcohol (or the IPA wipes provided) and apply the coating using the applicators provided. Wheel Guard is touch dry within 5-20 minutes. Application of a second coating once the first coat is hard (1-2 hours) is recommended.

Wheel Guard is a tough, crystal clear protective coating that uses Everbrite coating technology to protect aluminium, chrome and alloy wheels from corrosion and oxidation. It can also protect any 'bright' polished or bare metals on your motorbike, trailer or car's exterior, interior and even under the bonnet. Aluminium trims, chrome tail pipes, exhausts, etc, will look freshly polished after coating - and will stay that way. Wheel Guard won't crack, fade or peel and protects indefinitely when maintained. It is recommended for anodized and unpainted metal, stainless steel and anodised aluminium.

Wheel Guard is durable enough to keep your wheels and metal parts looking great, even if you drive through corrosive road salts in winter. To download a copy of our Wheel Guard application tips PDF, click here.

How do I apply Wheel Guard?

A one-part, self levelling coating that doesn’t wash off, Wheel Guard isn’t thick or plastic-looking, is easy to apply and gives good coverage: just 60ml will cover 1m² (double coat). For more tips and advice on applying Wheel Guard and other frequently asked questions, click here.

Will Wheel Guard change or dull the appearance of the metal I want to coat?

After coating, mirror-finished metals won’t lose their gloss and unpainted metals look freshly polished.

Is Wheel Guard heat resistant?

Wheel Guard is heat resistant up to 450°F or 232ºC.

Aftercare advice:

After coating your wheel, DO NOT USE solvents or wheel cleaners to clean your wheels or bare metals. To remove build up of dirt and brake dust, a soapy water rinse is all that  is necessary.

Apply Wheel Guard to halt the build-up of brake dust. Latex gloves are included for this, and the product takes an hour to set. We treated one wheel on our test car, and rated the finish over a few weeks of winter driving – and it was clearly very effective.

Product Test
Auto Express ****

I needed a coating that would prevent tarnishing, corrosion, fingerprinting and reduce maintenance of the polished aluminium elements. Wheel Guard provided all the protection I was looking for and has kept the metal parts looking immaculate.
